WET SCRUBBER - Principle
WET SCRUBBER
Efficiently collects dust, odor/bad smells, gas/vapor by mixing liquid
with gas containing dusts.
Gas containing dusts is introduced to the narrow pass #2 between the guide plate #1 and liquid surface.
And it is passing through very fast with much liquid, which makes it dispersed
and creates vortex at the scrubbing part #3.

WET SCRUBBER - Features, Applications
ACO wet scrubber is used for various purpose, such as eliminating fine powder, bad smells, water soluble solvent, sticky/greasy
powder, etc. These are all not collected by bag filters. Sometimes they are scattered
in air, which used to be no other choice. Now, there is a solution - use
wet scrubber.

Client:
Glass Manufacturer
Use:
Exhaust gas collection from Borosilicate Glass melting furnace
Situation before installation:
1) In the bag filter, heated and vaporizing Borosilicate passed through
the filter, crystallizing and depositing inside the duct.
2) Filter clogging occurred due to Borosilicate crystallizing in the filter.
3) The factory was covered in dust due to loss of air volume and suction
in the bag filter because of clogging.
Solution:
Collect the crystallized dust while cooling the gas in the scrubber.

Situation before installation:
Repeated fire accidents of dust collector in the process of manufacturing automobile parts were their major problems.
In the first stage of manufacturing, metal powder dust produced in the polishing process of large metallic plate is collected by bag filters. In this process, sparks come off when the metal is curved. The dust collector sucks the spark as well and then burns filters installed inside the unit frequently.
Filter change is fairly costly, and the workers always remain fraught with extreme risk because they need to respond to these frequent fires.
Solution:
They are in search for the dust collector which can prevent itself from
fire accidents. ACO proposed “Wet Scrubber”. The automobile parts company
ordered ACO to design fully tailored dust collector - wet scrubber to replace
the existing filter type dust collectors.
Result:
Wet Scrubber contains water inside and never result in a fire during its operation process, even though it continues to suck sparks together with metal dust.
It is not necessary to change the burnt filter and the workers do not have to cope with danger anymore.
First and foremost, it reduces cost because the filters are not necessary anymore.

Before installation - Troubles before installation
